The purpose of the RSEP is to disover, facilitate, and promote activities to improve the world that meet the following criteria:

• It must be practical and affordable enough so that virtually anyone can do it.
• The positive effects must be immediate and tangible.

Note that the positive effects of these activities need not be large nor widespread. The goal is to find things that anyone can do to effect positive changes in the world, that also gives them clear, direct, and visceral evidence of their success, regardless of who they are, or what their circumstances.
